Spring Season Transitions
Hello All, Happy Spring! After a long, cold winter, it feels good to finally be able to call it spring here in New Hampshire. Life is certainly bursting here on the farm. The seedling house is full of transplants and the fields and hoop houses are filling up quickly with lettuce, onions, kale, swiss chard and our first raspberry plants. Beth has been busy harvesting an abundance of beautiful tulips that have been adding color to our days. It is a wild year of growth here at

Buried in Snow
Hello All, This season of life feels heavy, overwhelming and full of unknowns. While I grapple with staying informed and looking beyond this small corner of New Hampshire that I inhabit, I also must trudge through the snow to feed and water 300 chickens, walk the dog, make soup for dinner, sweep the ashes from the wood stove and stoke the fire. My mind is on a constant seesaw between the pressing daily tasks to keep my family, my animals, my farm, my community fed and loved

A Season of Change
Hello All, It has been a while since I sat down to write you all. In that time the days have gotten short and dark, the summer crops have been harvested, the garlic has been planted and the fields have been cover cropped (their version of being tucked into bed). The mornings greet us with frost on the hillsides, while the last of the brown leaves cling to the trees along the field edges. Our days hold a different rhythm this time of year. Without the constant growth and heat

Summer Abundance, Come Find Us!
Hello Everyone, It has been awhile! First we got swept away in all the rain, then the heat and humidity took it out of us, now we are tackling a sea of weeds every day before they overtake the farm. Phew! Through it all, the harvests are coming in beautifully and we have so much bounty to share. We spend most of our time harvesting lettuce mix, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, greens and so much more. When we can, we weed and trellis and work on some of the larger projects such as

We have been busy in the fields planting onions, leeks, lettuce, kale, chard, cabbage, peas, spinach, scallions, cilantro and more while the sun shines. On Saturday we let Mother Nature do the work of watering in all the little seedlings and took a rest day. Soon enough we will be planting tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers in the hoop houses.
