Hello Everyone,
It has been awhile! First we got swept away in all the rain, then the heat and humidity took it out of us, now we are tackling a sea of weeds every day before they overtake the farm. Phew! Through it all, the harvests are coming in beautifully and we have so much bounty to share.
We spend most of our time harvesting lettuce mix, tomatoes, cucumbers, beans, greens and so much more. When we can, we weed and trellis and work on some of the larger projects such as hoop house building and planting our first crops at our new property. Our new solar pump is finally up and running thanks to Jasen's hard work. We received the pump through the Climate Resiliency Grant. It is exciting to use a solar powered irrigation system. This year we had a goal to focus on a few top crops to consistently supply to local grocery stores and our own farm store. These crops are: cilantro, scallions, parsley, head lettuce and lettuce mix. So far we have stayed on track with our successions and are feeling good about our goal! If you buy any of these things and others at Green Grocer, Roy's or our Farm Store, thank you!
Continue reading for where you can find our veggies every week and an exciting upcoming event on the farm. As always, please reach out with any questions and thanks for supporting our farm!
