Rainy Market Day Updates

Hello All, 

This week, and weekend we worked hard to finish harvesting our garlic, all 12,000 heads of it! The harvest came just in time for our new barn to be done so we are christening the barn rafters by hanging the garlic to dry. Amidst the garlic harvest we are also flipping beds to fall beets and carrots, weeding, taking care of the chickens including our new batch of 250 baby chicks and eating many tomato sandwiches. 

The forecast calls for heavy rain today but we are off to harvest this morning for market anyway! We will be there unless after lunch it is absolutely pouring with no signs of stopping. So, bring an umbrella and your good boots and load up on summer veggies for the week. If you can't make it today we will also be at the downtown market on Friday. The fields are absolutely popping with veggies and flowers and we hope you will make it to a market this week to stock up! As a reminder we are at two markets every week:

Please return both pint and quart glass jars to me at market, I will reuse them. We can also use pint and quart berry containers.

• Must be willing to work in all weather

• Ability to lift 40lbs consistently.

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Friday work days.

• Trade 2 or more hours of work for veggies, eggs, flowers and granola each time
