We are OPEN!

Hello Everyone,

The sun has been shining, the rain has been raining and the plants are taking off with spring growth. We have been busy in the fields planting onions, leeks, lettuce, kale, chard, cabbage, peas, spinach, scallions, cilantro and more while the sun shines. On Saturday we let Mother Nature do the work of watering in all the little seedlings and took a rest day. Soon enough we will be planting tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers in the hoop houses. We are off on another adventure of a season!

Two weeks ago we welcomed 310 Barred Rock chicks to the farm and they are growing up fast. They are lively and adorable in their brooder in the barn and eat a lot! Included in the shipment was one yellow surprise chick amidst the sea of black and white chicks. We named her Primrose Surprise.

Farm Store is OPEN!

On Friday we opened the Farm Store for the season. Currently stocked with spinach, pea shoots, spicy mix, flower bouquets, eggs, granola and a few shelf stable goodies. This week we will be adding arugula and baby kale as well as Orchard Hill bread and other local goodies such as dairy, drinks and frozen meat, pizza and ice cream. The Farm Store is open daily dawn to dusk and is self serve. Come by when you get a chance. Let us know if you have any questions. 

If you pre-ordered Farm Credit come by and find us or come to the Peterborough Farmers' Market and we can load your card for you so you can start to use it. In the meantime you can still purchase farm store credit and pre-order seedlings on our website.

Join us at the farm in May for our annual plant sales. We have loads of vegetable, herb and flower seedlings for your gardens. Shop the Farm Store and see what is growing on the farm. Hope to see you there! You can still pre-order seedlings on our website or purchase on the day of.

Peterborough Farmer's Market

Find us at the Peterborough Farmer's Market on Wednesday afternoons from 3pm - 6pm. We have been going for a month now and it has been fun to see everyone out and about. Consider stopping by to get our eggs, greens, tulip bouquets and granola. As the season progresses we will bring all of our usual produce to market including plant seedlings. Hope to see you there! If you can't make it on Wednesdays, then come by the Farm Store anytime.
