Two Markets! Two Markets!

Hello All, 

And just like that, it is mid July. The peas are ending and the green beans have begun with a force, the first full size tomatoes are beginning to blush (if they can escape Bernadette's hungry pecking!) and the cucumbers hang heavy on the vine. We spend most mornings harvesting for wholesale orders and markets and then weed and transplant  in the afternoons. Any day now our next batch of laying hens will arrive as tiny peeping fluffballs and we have their brooder all set up for them. In the evenings we try to take dips in the pond to refresh from all the dirt and sweat that covers us each day and then fall into bed somehow more exhausted than the day before.

The first week of the new Our Town Downtown Market last Friday was a success! If you didn't make it last week we hope you will join us for the next 7 weeks Fridays 4pm - 7:30pm in the parking lot behind Toadstool. 

In the meantime, we will be at the usual Peterborough Farmers Market TODAY with all of goodness mid July has to offer. Green beans and green peppers will be hitting the stand as well as cherry tomatoes and the very first full size slicing tomatoes. See below for the full list of what we will be bringing. I recommend you come early for cherry tomatoes, they will go fast. Thanks for all the support and love.
