The sun and heat have arrived and with it rapid growth of everything on the farm. We are almost one week out from the first CSA pickup (Tuesday June 6th!) so I wanted to send out a quick note as a reminder. The past two weeks have been a whirlwind of planting, weeding, pruning, trellising, seeding and harvesting all made possible with a visit from Elsbeth's extended family. Many hands sure can get a lot done! It has been quite dry so we also spend a fair amount of time managing irrigation. This week we will be laying tarps for our winter squash pumpkins and melons, transplanting popcorn and hopefully taking some dips in the river. Let the harvests begin! In the Farm Store currently you can find: spinach, head lettuce, swiss chard, kale, microgreen mixes, pea shoots and chives. Come visit!
A big thank you to everyone who came to our Plant Sales! We had a blast. As a reminder we reuse any plastic pots and trays you took home so please bring those back at your earliest convenience.
A Few Important Notes
Our Farm Store is open everyday and fully stocked with all of our veggies and other local products as well as tomato, pepper and basil seedlings.
If you are still looking for seedlings we have plenty! Send me a message and I will meet you at the farm to get whatever you need. Think herbs, flowers, tomatoes, peppers, eggplants and more.
One last call for 8 week CSA members to please let me know if you will be at the first week of CSA pickup - thanks!
