After what feels like a very long winter, the farm is beginning to come to life. We have been busy seeding thousands of seeds for summer harvests, raising our new 200 baby chicks and getting the fields and infrastructure ready for another summer. Just this week the first bright green appeared on the tips of the trees. At night we listen to the peepers and hope the deer aren't munching our newly planted beds.
We are excited to be hosting three Plant Sales and open farm days this spring. See the flyer below for details. We hope to see you there! This is a great time for new CSA members to check out the farm before the season starts. The Farm Store has opened with a limited selection and will continue to grow throughout the spring. Stop by for microgreens, our own maple syrup, granola and more as the season progresses. Open everyday dawn to dusk. Located at Nubanusit Neighborhood and Farm, Peterborough. Follow the road past all of the garages until you see a barn, park along the guardrail and look for the open flag up the hill to your right.
Along with the 200 chicks this year we also welcomed our first employee, George Henry or GH. We are very excited to add him to the team and are thoroughly amazed with how much work three people can get done. You will see him around this summer, so say hello!
CSA Members PLEASE READ
We are overjoyed to welcome 80 CSA members this season and can't wait to get started. As a reminder the first CSA pickup will be on Tuesday June 6th from 3pm - 5:30pm at Nubanusit Neighborhood and Farm. If you are an 8 week member and already know what weeks you plan to pickup (or at least the first week), please let me know. No problem if not, it helps us plan harvests. Off to go pot up peppers and transplant the onions. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. Stay tuned for more detailed information about the the season ahead. We hope you are enjoying the spring sunshine as much as we are!
