We miss you! Our first hard frost was a few days ago and the mornings have been chilly and tinged with silver. We had to get our winter gloves and hats out for chicken moving and wholesale harvests. The change in seasons is welcome though, and I delight in the fall color palette of foliage and crisp air. We have been busy wrapping up the farm for the season; moving and rebuilding the caterpillar tunnel for the winter chicken coop, cover cropping, prepping beds for tulips and garlic, taking down tomato plants, stacking firewood and selling lots of fresh veggies through our Farm Store and wholesale.
Our Farm Store is still open and full of goodies until Monday October 28th. We will be closed for the season starting on Monday October 28th. So make sure to stop by before that! We have lettuce mix, broccoli, arugula, baby kale, sweet fall carrots, fresh ginger, kale, green head lettuce, scallions, onions, garlic, tomatoes and more. Starting on Monday October 21st many of our local items (excluding our veggies) will go on sale for 20% - 40% off! Look for the red sticker items that indicate a sale price.Stay tuned for farm updates throughout the winter. We have some exciting projects in the works for next season.
